About the Event

The Humanitarian Cello: Throughout history cellists have used their artistry as first responders to shine a beacon of light during times of great need. They have performed at the fall of the Berlin Wall, in prisoner of war camps, at Ground Zero- and now, it is our duty as people to stay inside and flatten the curve to save the lives of many. The program will pay tribute to cello repertoire performed historically in hard times and premier new music inspired by the need for solitude without complete isolation.
